The Doctrine which is according to godliness.

Written by Bishop J.O. Sparks.

Matthew 11:27– All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. This powerful verse of scripture shows us that Jesus and Jesus alone has the power to reveal to us the true identity and nature of God Almighty. And freely Jesus has this authority, the Word of God says and He to whomsoever the Son will reveal Him. Phillip ask of Jesus to see the Father, and Jesus answered him in (John 14:9) Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? God was in Jesus Christ revealing himself in the flesh. His very name that brings Salvation (Acts 4:12) and that literally means Salvation was Revealed, as was the Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, the Everlasting Father and the Prince of Peace(Isaiah 9:6) He was manifest in the flesh.

The doctrine according to Godliness is this: (1 Timothy 3:16) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. The Apostle Paul writing to Titus not only declared himself to be an Apostle of Jesus Christ according to God’s elect, but also that he acknowledged the truth which is after godliness, the very same doctrine of godliness he mentioned in his first letter to Timothy. But wait Paul goes a little bit further with his teaching on the doctrine of godliness. (1 Timothy 6:3-5) 3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; 4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, 5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

Wow here Paul reveals to us the mystery of godliness, that he proclaimed without controversy, to be doctrine or teaching, and that if a many taught any other doctrine he was even destitute of the truth. Paul declared the gospel he preached was not after men and that he didn’t receive it by men but by the Revelation of Jesus Christ. This Revelation began on the road to Damascus but was a continue revealing of the identity and Revelation of Jesus Christ in His Fullness. Then Paul could write ( Colossians 1:19) For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; and (Colossians 2:9) For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Jesus has revealed himself to many thousands to be the Almighty God, the LORD and God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He is The Great I AM. The identity of the Father is clearly revealed to us by Jesus the word made flesh, by the Holy Ghost. The bible is plain (2 Corinthians 5:19) To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Paul declared that that even the creation paints a clear picture of God’s identity and that ignorance is inexcusable. ( Romans 1:20)For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. Jesus is not a 1/3 part of God, neither is He in the godhead. The fullness of the godhead dwells in Jesus bodily. He was and is Go manifest in the flesh. The word fullness as it is found in (Colossians 1:19; 2:9) is the Greek word (Pleroma) which means repletion or completion. What fills as contents, what is filled as a container, which is put in to fill up, piece that filled up, full or fullness. John the baptist also testified concerning this powerful truth (John 3:34) For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. Jesus possessed all the fullness of God living in His physical human body. He was not Jehovah Jr, or some Jr God who was part of a three god buddy buddy system come to earth, but the Eternal God making himself known to us in His Son, through a physical manifestation revealing His Mercy, His Power and His Salvation to us.

The wonderful revelation that Jesus has made known to the world is that God came from Heaven to Earth, in a physical human body and revealed His True Identity, even His Name Jesus the Christ, something he would never do; and He in our place died for our sins. ( Romans 5:8) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus has revealed to us the identity of the Father, and in return He has identified to us His true Nature and Identity. He is God and this precious truth is being revealed too all who have ears and hearts to hear it and receive it.

In Jesus Name,

Enemies of the Cross of Christ.

Enemies of the Cross of Christ.

Praise the Name of Jesus Christ!!!

When a person who is skilled in building and construction, they first make sure to build a solid foundation firstly. The stability of a house, or building is in a good sound and solid foundation. As a builder of sorts, as pertaining to spiritual things, I want to make sure a solid foundation is laid before I build the house on top of it. The foundation we must build on is Jesus Christ and no other foundation can any man lay that what has been set in place and established by God himself other then Jesus Christ. We are built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, but never forget Jesus is the chief cornerstone and the whole building is fitly framed together from Him and grows into a Holy Temple of God(Ephesians 2:20-21).

As we prepare to write about a subject that needs to be discussed, we must first establish the fact that there is a cross standing between you and eternity and man made doctrines and teachings have tried to remove the cross and make light of Jesus sacrifice for your sins and my sins on Calvary. These are enemies of the Cross of Jesus Christ.

(1 Corinthians 10:10-11)

10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

We will look at several verses of scriptures. But lets look first at when I call Foundational Scriptures to establish our foundational

10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Lets first look at what I like to call the Foundational Scriptures, to establish the mind set of this whole study we will be embarking on together.

(Romans 16:17-18)

17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine (teachings see Acts 2:42) which ye have learned; and avoid them.

18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good (flattering) words and fair (fine speaking, or eloquence of language)  speeches deceive the hearts of the simple(those innocent, or unsuspecting).

To mark means to take aim at, to regard or consider, to take heed. Simply put, Paul the Apostle was saying, make a mental and spiritual note of those who cause divisions and offenses contrary to the Doctrine of Jesus Christ(Apostles Doctrine) and avoid them. Yes we are to avoid or keep away from or to shun away from those who bring with them divisions and offences contrary to Jesus and His Word.

The Word Divisions means disunion or disunity, dissension or disagreement, division and sedition which is an incitement or rebellion.

The word offenses means a snare, a cause or displeasure or sin. Occasion to fall or to stumble. A thing that offends. A stumbling block which makes one to trip and fall. Today I am going to write about something that was settled 20 centuries ago an the first Apostolic Convention in Antioch found recorded in Acts ch. 15. There is a great movement of ministries and churches wanting to research the Jewishness of the Church. I have no problem with people wanting to research the first century church that was established by Jewish men, whose ministry at first was solely to Jews, that wrote by inspiration of God the Bible which in fact is a Jewish book. I do have problems however, with Christians who claim to be Apostolic attempting to enforce Sabbath keeping, and Holy Days and feasts upon born again Gentiles. This directly contradicts the command given to Gentile converts as declared by Bishop James the Brother of Jesus in Acts 15:22-29.

(Acts 15:22-29)

22 Then pleased it the apostles and elders with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas and Silas, chief men among the brethren:

23 And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia.

24 Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:

25 It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

26 Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

27 We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.

28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;

29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

So many still attempt to bring believers into bondage or rules and hand writings and ordinances that was against us especially us Gentiles who had no sacrifice for our sins under the law, Christ moved these out of the way nailing them to the cross.

( Colossians 2:14) Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross.

Paul declared to the Church in Galatia (Galatians 5:4) Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. I am justified by Jesus blood and not the ceremonial law. The Holy Ghost has written God’s law in our hearts, and while the 10 commandments are God’s Law to Israel and are the foundational laws for the church, we have been given even more laws to live by found in the New Testament that are commandments not grievous to us but we can live them because of the indwelling Holy Ghost.

Lets look at Philippians 3:1-3.

(Philippians 3:1-3)

Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.

2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision(Judaizers).

3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh(Race)

Lets also look at Philippians 3:17-21.

(Philippians 3:17-21)

17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:

19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

The writer of Hebrews declares to us in (Hebrews 10:9)Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. God sent Jesus to shed His blood, thus fulfilling the Covenant He made with Abraham. Abraham shed blood through circumcision and the one who Covenanted with Abraham shed His blood on the cross fulfilling the Abrahamic Covenant and establishing a better covenant with much better promises.

The Apostle Paul declared in (Philippians 3:2) Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. The word concision means a cutting down of, or mutilation.

Today I want us to take a look at a group of Apostolic Jesus Name Pentecostals who are enemies of the Cross of Christ. These demand you and I to be re baptized using the Hebrew name of Jesus which is Yeshua or we cannot be saved. These are attempting to revive the keeping of the law of Moses and the commandments given to Israel in (Exodus 20) especially the Sabbath, who through the spirit of deception believe that one must keep the law and be saved. Today I am marking these who are of the concision, who are attempting to do away with Calvary to live under the law that was nailed to Jesus Cross.

Acts 15 at the First General Conference of the Church, the Agenda was not to vote on the articles of faith, or to go over the church budget. No the number one item of business as we said earlier was whether or not converted Gentiles or Jews should keep the Law of Moses and be circumcised.

(Acts 15:1)  And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.

The Apostle Paul, an ex-Pharisee along with Barnabas came to dispute this erroneous doctrine of Salvation not by Grace alone, but by law and grace, (AKA) by Race or flesh through faith.

(Acts 15:5) But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

In (Acts 15:6-11) The Apostle Peter through his public teaching testified how through his preaching the Gospel that even the Gentiles believed and were filled with the Holy Ghost, and Peter makes a very bold statement in these verses of scripture.

(Acts 15:10-11)

10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

So many today are trying to revive keeping the law of Moses, a Law that was given to Israel alone. This was a law that was not inclusive of the gentile and Arabic nations around Israel, no these nations were strangers and aliens from the common wealth of Israel. The Law given was for Israel and them alone. Yet so many today want to revive law keeping, and circumcision and feats and try to make the disciples of Jesus today live under a yoke of bondage when Jesus came to set them free from the law that was only given as a school master to bring us to Jesus Christ.

(Galatians 3:24)Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. So many today who are retracing the Hebrew roots of the church, end up law keepers and Sabbath keepers and find themselves in the same boat as those who brought divisions in the church. Salvation is not by Law and Grace but by Grace through Faith (Ephesians 2:8-9).

I stand with the Apostles and their statement they published in the bible.

(Acts 15:19) Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God.

On the day of Pentecost Peter told those law keeping Jews that the New Birth Experience of being born again of water and Spirit came by way or Repentance, Water Baptism in Jesus Name and as a result God would fill them with the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38). This same message was preached to the Gentiles (Acts 10) and they were filled with the Holy Ghost, baptized into the Lord’s body without one mention of the law of Moses or keeping the Sabbath or the Commandments of Exodus 20. To revive law keeping and circumcision, you who subscribe to this will eventually blaspheme Jesus blood when the 3rd temple is rebuilt you add your agreement to animal sacrifices for Israel in that temple.

Several years ago, I had an Apostolic Pastor write me and ask me if I wanted to give a $1000.00 offering to purchase a red heifer to use in the rebuilt 3rd temple for sacrifice. I wrote him back and ask him why he wanted to spit Jesus blood in His face and tell Him His Cross wasn’t enough because that is what you are saying. The abomination of desolation will be the anti christ standing in the temple claiming to be God (2 Thessalonians 2:2-12). I wonder how many law keepers will run to his ability to call down fire from heaven on the sacrifices and say oh this has to be Jesus?

If you are being deceived by these folks, run from them. They will cause you to blaspheme Jesus blood and sacrifice by making you live under the law. We are free from the law by Jesus blood and now we live by Jesus Command in the New Covenant, the blood covenant. So many who fight for the keeping of the law will fight tooth and nail against those of us who have removed the kneeling benches they call altars and have placed in the church the true altar of God the Lord’s Table where we partake of Jesus body and blood this they will fight against though it was instituted in the church and is as important or more important then preaching and yes in fact is a salvational issue. This we will discuss in future posts.

My prayer is that you will let God’s Word establish you in truth. Remember these who are of the concision are operating under the spirit of the enemy to try to destroy the church. But saints rejoice Jesus said He would built His church and the gates of hell couldn’t prevail against it (Matthew 16:18).

Greater works then these!

Praise the Name of our Risen Lord, Jesus the Christ.

Today, in the area in which I live we have seen temperatures drop below zero. As a matter of fact when I woke up to ready myself for work, and proceeded outside to start my vehicle, it registered as -2 on my digital thermometer. As I sat here at work, my mind began to play over and over these words spoken by Our Lord; “Greater Work’s then these”. You may say what does that have to do with current temperatures in your state Bro. Sparks?

In my community there are many homeless people, and though our city is relatively small compared to some,(population 20,000+)we do have quiet a few homeless people, and those less fortunate who live in impoverished conditions. Also in our community there are many magnificent edifices built, Churches, whose ability to house many during these times of frigid temperatures, remain locked up, and the needy turned away to other agency’s.

Jesus gave the responsibility of feeding the hungry, and clothing the naked, and sheltering the stranger, etc; and it is so frustrating to hear so many people quote John 14:12-14 that can’t even do the works of Jesus Christ, yet they are always declaring that they are doing the greater works Jesus spoke of, and most of these people are so unlearned in God’s Word that they will fight against and ridicule the soul seeking truth and fight against the very name of Jesus Christ.

(John 14:121-14)

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

The folks who sometimes often quote this scripture, hurry through verse 12 to get to the “most important part”, where Jesus speaks about the greater works. Notice what Jesus said as we look closely at verse 12.

(John 14:12)  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Jesus said firstly, those who believe on Him, the works that Jesus does he would do also, and greater works then these why? Because Jesus goes back to the Father. What would empower man and give him the ability to do greater works? Jesus declared that we would be endued(clothed) with power after the Holy Ghost Baptism had been received (Acts 1:4-8). This power received from the Holy Ghost enables one to be a witness, in word and demonstration and we see this demonstration of the Holy Ghost as Jesus worked with His Apostles confirming His word with signs(Mark 16:20).

Now we will look at two different portions of scripture, in the same chapter, (Matthew 25) dealing with what Jesus meant when He said the works I do shall you do.

(Matthew 25:33-40)

33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Jesus then speaks to those on the left:

(Matthew 25:41-46)

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

If you have truly been born again and passed from death to life, men will be able to see this because of the way you love your brothers and if you do not love you do not know God because God is love(1 John 4:8).

(1 John 3:14) We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

We also seen in the following scriptures that love is commanded.

(1 John 4: 7-20)

7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

19 We love him, because he first loved us.

20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

If we claim to be spiritual and cannot love, but turn our head and pretend not to see those hurting and in need around us, then the works we do, not motivated by love will fail and when we stand before Jesus Christ in judgement, we will be like those who said Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out devils and in your name do many wonderful works? Jesus will then profess to them depart from me ye workers of iniquity I never knew you. Jesus said not everyone that calls Him Lord will enter into Heaven but those who dill the will of the Father will.

(Matthew 7:20-23)

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Our love for God is not demonstrated by how many wheel chairs we have seen emptied, nor how many blinded eyes we have seen opened or deaf ears unstopped. You may have seen the dead raised and devils cast out, but in all of this our love for God is not demonstrated in our many mighty acts. How then you may ask, Bro. Josh is our love for God demonstrated? It is by keeping Jesus commandments.
(John 14:15) If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Our love for Jesus is demonstrated by keeping His commandments and doing the will of God. If we love truly, and if we are truly born of God we will do the works of Jesus and if we do the works of Jesus then the greater works will follow. It is so sad though to see the group of believers no doubt, turned away from the one they call Lord, because the Lord declared, “I never knew you”.
Jesus truly knows our hearts, and if we are sincere and love the truth and love Him, and live the word of God and apply it to our lives, we will do the works of Jesus Christ and be accepted among the beloved.
(1 Corinthians 8:3) But if any man love God, the same is known of him. We show him by our willingness to keep His commandments.
Have you obeyed Jesus command today to be born again of the water and the Spirit(John 3:5)? If not you can and here is how.
(Acts 2:37-39)37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Modalist, Monarchian, Partripassian.

This article I wrote some time ago needs to be reposted again to allow some of you who have just began studying God’s Word with us our stand concerning the Oneness of God and our stand against the false doctrine of the trinity. May Gosd bless you with knowledge and Grace as you study God’s Word with us.

In His Grip,

Pastor Josh Sparks.

Sabellius who lived circa 215 AD was a priest who was ostracized by the Roman Catholic Church and the early RCC leaders who taught and invented the false trinity doctrine was against Sabellius for being a Modalistic Monarchianism which is to say One God who has revealed himself to man in three modes or manifestations of one divine Person. One God who is Father in Creation, Son  Son in Redemption and the Holy Ghost in Sanctification and Regeneration. This is the oldest doctrine found in the scriptures. Israel was commanded to teach the Doctrine of the One True God in their homes to their children and to write it on their door posts and to bind in on the arms and heads.

The Shema (Deuteronomy 6:1- 9)  1Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it: 2That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged. 3Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey. 4Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: 5And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.  8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.  9And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

The Doctring of One God is not a 100 year old heresy but the oldest revelation of God to man. (Hebrews 1: 1-3) 1God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  2Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.

Jesus is the final revelation of God to mankind. The bible declares this to be true. No where does the bible teach that Jesus is a member of a three god godhead but that the Godhead is in Him and all the fulness of it.

(Colossians 1:19) For it pleased the Father that in him(Jesus) should all fulness dwell.

(Colossians 2:9) For in him (Jesus)dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

(John 3:34) For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

By these verses we see that the Godhead was and is or indwells in Jesus in bodily or flesh form and that the Spirit is and was in Jesus without measure. Let me make it simple. Jesus was God 100% in the flesh. God the only Saviour and Creator. In order for Jesus and His Name to be the only name given for salvation (Acts 4:12) He had to be God manifest in the flesh.

The Prophet Isaiah wrote as he was moved upon by the Holy Ghost and declared God was the only Saviour in (Isaiah 43:11) I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.Isaiah declared the Lord to be the First and the Last (Isaiah 44:6) Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. Isaiah the prophet declared God and God alone to be the creator of the Heavens and earth all by Himself (Isaiah 44:24) Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself. (Isaiah 45:12) I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.

Isaiah the prophet declared the Lord to be the only God and that there was no other God beside Him. He declared God to be the Lord and none else beside Him. (Isaiah 45:5-6)5I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:  6That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.

All the ends of the earth, Isaiah Prophesied, must look to the Lord to be saved and He declared that to Him (the Lord) every knee would bow and every tongue confess. (Isaiah 45:22-23)  22Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. 23I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Isaiah wrote as the Lord spoke to Him and declared there was none like Him or Equal to Him. (Isaiah 46:5 and 9-10)5To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?  9Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 10Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.

True Partripassians who reject the Logos doctrine believe the Word of God as it is written. In these verses we have looked at the Prophet Isaiah declares some important things that we must take note of.

  1. God is Creator of the Heavens and Earth alone all by Himself (Is 44:24, 45:12).
  2. God is Saviour and beside Him there is no Saviour (Is 43:11).
  3. God is the First and Last and to Him every knee must bow and every tongue confess (Is 41:4;44:6; 45:23).
  4. There is none like Him or Equal to Him (Is 46:6, 9).

True Partripassian Monotheist Modalist Monarchians believe that without any doubt that Jesus is God incarnate in Human Flesh or God revealing Himself, manifesting Himself in Flesh. (1 Timothy 3:16)  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

God was in Christ reconcilling the world unto Himself. (2 Corinthians 5:19) To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Some review of what we covered God created the Heavens and Earth. God is the only Saviour that we can look to in order to be Saved. There is none like Him or Equal to Him. God is the First and Last and to Him every knee will bow and every tongue swear.

The New Testament testifies of this One true God who came in Christ and revealed His Saving  Name Jesus(Yeshua). This was fulfillment of the prophecy of Isaiah found in (Isaiah 9:6) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Jesus declared in (John 5:43) I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

(Matthew 1: 21 and 23) 21And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.  23Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

The New Testament reveals to us the final revelation of God to mankind through Jesus Christ the Son of God. Jesus has to be the One true God in flesh. Why?

  1. Jesus is the Creator. (Colossians 1:16-17) 16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:  17And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. (Hebrews 1:2) 2Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.
  2. Jesus is the First and the Last. (Revelation 1:8 and 11) 8I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
  3. At the Name of Jesus every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. ( Phillipians 2:10-11)  10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
  4. Jesus sacrifice erases sin and His blood alone can save. His name is he only name given whereby men must be saved. (Acts 4:12) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. God exalted this Jesus to be the Saviour (Acts 5:31) Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Looking into the scriptures we see that the Lord Isaiah prophesied concerning was manifest in flesh and revealed His Secret Saving name Jesus Messieh (Christ). I totally reject the Logos trinity doctrine and will forever uphold the teachings of the Lord Jesus Messieh God Almighty, Creator, First and Last and the only Saviour, the Apostles and Prophets and all those Modalist Monarchian Partripassians who have given their lives to preach the truth and to maintain their integrity and right standing with God.

I am calling for all true Modalist Monarchian Partripassians to stand with me in declaring the revelation of Jesus Messieh to the world. Will you stand with me today and be a champion of the Faith?

Praise the Name of Jesus Christ.

Dear Saints of the Living God.

Grace and Peace be multiplied upon you and yours through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let me first say I apologize for the long absence from this teaching blog the Lord inspired us to begin several years ago. I want to let you know i do read your comments and I have truly been blessed to know that in spite of our absence, God has been using our bible studies to bring blessing, and understanding to the many who view them on a day to day basis. I am overwhelmed at the number of people who regularly stop by and read and re-read the bible studies we have posted. In the next few days, weeks, and months I will be adding new bible studies and topics of discussion that will be relevant to the times in which we are living. With the turmoil of the Middle East, and the threat of Nuclear War with Iran, and the natural disasters going on worldwide, one can easily see we are living in the most powerful and promising time in history, as well as the darkest day of man’s existense on the earth.

As we approach the coming of Jesus Christ, the overthrow of satans Kingdom, rending his power and rule and reign as prince of principallities and powers of the air (Ephesians 2:2) destroying the Heavens (seaof satans regime) with the Sounding of the Trumpet of God, the voice of the Arch Angel ( 1 Thessalonians 4:16) causing his kingdom to pass away with a great noise (2 Peter 3: 10) burning up the elements or rudiments of this world; which is to say the wickedness and sinfulness of man and man’s earthly kingdoms replacing them with a new Heaven and Earth where Jesus reigns as King in Heaven and Earth the whole world being ruled by our King of Kings and Lord of Lord’s.

I will be posting in regards to the present happenings in our world and will report to you the many eye opening things happening in Israel that points to the rebuilding of the 3rd temple and the coming or revealing of the anti-christ as he makes his seat in the temple showing himslef to be god and demanding worship (2 Thessalonians 2:2-12, Daniel 11: 45). We will also talk about the ancient Sanhedrian being re-established and rising to power again, the highest Jewish court whose 3 purposes are to 1) Rebuild 3rd temple, 2)Re-institute animal sacrifices and 3) To authenticate the messiah when he comes. All of this is the stage being set for the final chapter in man’s history and the beginning of a new era for man where Christ rules and men will live together in peace on paradise earth.

We are back and we will not allow time to pass away from us again. May God richly bless all of you is my prayers in Jesus Name.

A servant of Jesus Christ,

Bro. Josh Sparks.

The Principles of the Doctrine of Christ.

Written by Bro. Josh Sparks on March 15th 2009.

Jesus made a very powerful statement concerning His Church. (Matthew 16:18 ) And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Peter is not the rock the church is built on neither is he the one who is building the church. Peter in verse 19 was given the keys to the Kingdom and we believe those keys were used to unlock the door of salvation to the Jews (Acts 2:38 ) and the Gentiles (Acts 10:46-48 ). Jesus declared I will build my church and the gates of hell or the grave (Strong’s G # 86)cannot prevail against it or overpower it. Paul reiteratedthis doctrine of the grave not being able to overpower the church when writing to the church in Corinth. ( 1 Corinthians 15: 51-52) 51Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

The commission to Preach the Gospel was given to the disciples after Jesus had risen from the dead. We will post the 3 accounts as found in the book of Matthew, Mark and Luke. In these 3 accounts we will see Jesus command to His disciples to go was not without instructions and commands. The were some principal doctrines established and these were implemented by our Lord Jesus and not prefabricated by the thoughts and desires of men. Below is listed the passages concerning Jesus commission to his disciples.

(Matthew 28:18-20) 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name (singular) of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

(Mark 16:15-18 ) 15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

(Luke 24:46-49) 46And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: 47And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48And ye are witnesses of these things. 49And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Jesus told his disciples to tarry in the city of Jerusalem until they be endued or clothed with power from on high. Jesus spent 40 days after his resurrection with the disciples teaching them and speaking to them plainly of the father. ( John 16:25)These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father. After Jesus rose from the dead he opened up their understanding of the scriptures (Luke 24:45)Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures. Although the next statement I am going to make might not set well withthe religious it is still the absolute truth . The disciples walked withJesus for 3 and 1/2 years and still didn’t know Him. They were withHim and saw all the miracles and signs and the dead being raised and devils being cast out. They saw Jesus walk on the water and clam the storms and the ragging sea but still didn’t know Him. They walked with Him adnwas sent out along with the seventy (Luke 10:1) who was sent out two by two and the sick was healed and devils cast out in Jesus Name and Jesus told them He gave them power (Luke 10:19)Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. But they were granted this temporary manifestation of power through Jesusname but was not clothed with Power until they were baptized in the Holy Ghost.

In Acts Chapter 1 we see Jesus giving the disciples some further instructions concerning the Kingdom and the Power needed to establish the Kingdom through living witnesses. A witness is not a witness in word only but in demonstration as well. ( Acts 1: 1-8 ) 1The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, 2Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: 3To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: 4And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. 6When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Jesus spoke more directly to the disciples concerning the Kingdom of God and the need to receive the power of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. After they received the baptism of the Holy Ghost the church was born and men and women began pressing their way into the Kingdom of God through being born again of the water and the Spirit (John 3:5, Acts 2:38 ). This brings me to the subject I am wanting to wrote about which is this. There were certain principle doctrines or chief doctrines if you will that Jesus delivered to His disciples. These we must understand and full grasp being built upon them because they are part of the very foundational structure of the Church. ( Ephesians 2:20-21) 20And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord. Paul declares in ( 1 Corinthians 3:10-11) 10According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 11For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Paul writing to the Hebrews outlined for us these very principle or first doctrines of Jesus Christ that must be laid which is our foundation and if it is not laid we can never go on to perfection (maturity or completeness) until these foundation principles are set in order. The church understands a few of these principle or first doctrines or teachings established by Jesus Christ and make a mess out of the others. Paul told Timothy in ( 1 Timothy 1:1-4) 1Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope; 2Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord. 3As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine, 4Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

Paul also wrote to Timothy about a time (our time) when people wouldn’t endure sound doctrine ( 2 Timothy 4:3)For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears. To endure means t hold ones self up against. To put up with or to bear with. To forbear or suffer. Paul goes on to say this would result in the turning away their ears from the truth and bringing in the ear ticklers because men driven by their lusts would rather be on the pacifierrather then the meat of the truth of God’s Word.
( Hebrews 6:1-3) 1Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3And this will we do, if God permit. In these verses of scripture we see the very first doctrines or teachings of Jesus Christ that make up the foundation we are built upon as the church. There are 6 principle or first teachings or doctrines we must have laid in our lives as a foundation. 1) Repentance from dead works. 2) Faith Toward God. 3) The Doctrine of Baptisms (plural which consists of Water and Spirit). 4) Laying on of hands. 5) The resurrection from the dead. 6) Eternal Judgement. These very basic doctrines must be understood and must be part of the foundation of the church. As I stated earlier we have a few of these as part of our foundation, namely, repentance from dead works, faith toward God and the doctrine of baptisms. But to say the church has an understanding of the laying on of hands and the resurrection from the dead and eternal judgement is stretching the truth. So many believe laying on of hands is just good for praying for the sick and never mention it is for ordination and that the Holy Ghost was given by the laying on of hands of the Apostles . Most believe the dead will be resurrected but teach the dead go to heaven or hell and receive their reward and if that was the case there is no need for a resurrection and they have false teachings concerning eternal judgement as well. The righteous inherit everlasting life (Romans 6:23) and the wicked become ashes under the soles of our feet (Malachi 4:3).
These 6 foundational doctrines we will examine over the next few days one by one and we will consult the Word of God and as mandated by the Holy Ghost lay this foundation so we can go on to perfection in Jesus Christ as a church. We are not seeing revival because revival comes to those who have these foundational principals in their lives already laid as a foundation of their faith in Jesus Christ and all 6 principles are covered in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the days and weeks to come as I stated we will look at all 6 foundational doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ one by one and set in order the things that are wanting. (Titus 1:5) For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee. The word wanting means the things that are absent. If we desire to see the outpouring of the Holy Ghost the first church did we must preach and teach the same message they preached as was established by Jesus Christ. Our next article we will discuss Repentance from Dead Works. Please continue to come and read as we sit in order the things absent from the teachings and understanding of the church of Jesus Christ to bring the body unto perfection in Jesus. May God bless you in the name of Jesus Christ.
