Matthew 11:27– All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. This powerful verse of scripture shows us that Jesus and Jesus alone has the power to reveal to us the true identity and nature of God Almighty. And freely Jesus has this authority, the Word of God says and He to whomsoever the Son will reveal Him. Phillip ask of Jesus to see the Father, and Jesus answered him in (John 14:9) Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? God was in Jesus Christ revealing himself in the flesh. His very name that brings Salvation (Acts 4:12) and that literally means Salvation was Revealed, as was the Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, the Everlasting Father and the Prince of Peace(Isaiah 9:6) He was manifest in the flesh.
The doctrine according to Godliness is this: (1 Timothy 3:16) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. The Apostle Paul writing to Titus not only declared himself to be an Apostle of Jesus Christ according to God’s elect, but also that he acknowledged the truth which is after godliness, the very same doctrine of godliness he mentioned in his first letter to Timothy. But wait Paul goes a little bit further with his teaching on the doctrine of godliness. (1 Timothy 6:3-5) 3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; 4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, 5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
Wow here Paul reveals to us the mystery of godliness, that he proclaimed without controversy, to be doctrine or teaching, and that if a many taught any other doctrine he was even destitute of the truth. Paul declared the gospel he preached was not after men and that he didn’t receive it by men but by the Revelation of Jesus Christ. This Revelation began on the road to Damascus but was a continue revealing of the identity and Revelation of Jesus Christ in His Fullness. Then Paul could write ( Colossians 1:19) For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; and (Colossians 2:9) For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Jesus has revealed himself to many thousands to be the Almighty God, the LORD and God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He is The Great I AM. The identity of the Father is clearly revealed to us by Jesus the word made flesh, by the Holy Ghost. The bible is plain (2 Corinthians 5:19) To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Paul declared that that even the creation paints a clear picture of God’s identity and that ignorance is inexcusable. ( Romans 1:20)For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. Jesus is not a 1/3 part of God, neither is He in the godhead. The fullness of the godhead dwells in Jesus bodily. He was and is Go manifest in the flesh. The word fullness as it is found in (Colossians 1:19; 2:9) is the Greek word (Pleroma) which means repletion or completion. What fills as contents, what is filled as a container, which is put in to fill up, piece that filled up, full or fullness. John the baptist also testified concerning this powerful truth (John 3:34) For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. Jesus possessed all the fullness of God living in His physical human body. He was not Jehovah Jr, or some Jr God who was part of a three god buddy buddy system come to earth, but the Eternal God making himself known to us in His Son, through a physical manifestation revealing His Mercy, His Power and His Salvation to us.
The wonderful revelation that Jesus has made known to the world is that God came from Heaven to Earth, in a physical human body and revealed His True Identity, even His Name Jesus the Christ, something he would never do; and He in our place died for our sins. ( Romans 5:8) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus has revealed to us the identity of the Father, and in return He has identified to us His true Nature and Identity. He is God and this precious truth is being revealed too all who have ears and hearts to hear it and receive it.
In Jesus Name,
